On 5th February 2020, Juan Carlos Duque, a Colombian focolarino died in an accident in the Fiore Centre in Lima, Peru where he lived. A few days earlier, in preparation for the priesthood, he had been ordained a deacon during a joyful community celebration. New City had published Jean Vanier’s obituary following his death in May 2019 (see New City, June 2019).
