The flight
On 5th February 2020, Juan Carlos Duque, a Colombian focolarino died in an accident in the Fiore Centre in Lima, Peru where he lived. A few days earlier, in preparation for the priesthood, he had been ordained a deacon during a joyful community celebration. We bring you a letter of farewell written by Gustavo Clariá, who lived with him in the focolare.

New City had published Jean Vanier’s obituary following his death in May 2019 (see New City, June 2019).
